Our youth class is for grades 7-12 and is not a "class" like school. There are couches. There are snacks. There is sharing highs and lows from your week. You read the Bible. You talk about what you think and hear from the leaders. You share some application to your life thoughts. You pray for the concerns and needs of the group. Lots of bonding. Growing together with Jesus.

Youth FunDay at The Edge for Laser Tag & Games - Youth Grades 7-12 & Family
1/22/26 UPDATE: I think it makes sense at this point to reschedule the Jan. 25th event at The Edge in Belleville. Would love to have some feedback.
Some might suggest just doing a Jan. 25th event at church that doesn't require us to drive 30 minutes to Belleville...but still would require travel to church.
Others might say let's pick a date in early February and return to our laser tag/game site. If so, please let us know which of these FEB Sundays work:

Sunday, January 25 from 2:00 to 5:00pm. Because of Confirmation and the church Voter's Meeting we will meet at The Edge at 2:00pm Location is: 701 S Belt W, Belleville, IL 62220. We would expect to be done around 4:30-5:00pm.
COST: $10per person (you get 2 laser tag sessions and a $10 arcade card)
Parents: Can you help drive? You can participate as much as you want in the laser tag and games.. Please let me know! SIGNUP: When you pay $10 and have your form completed you are signed up. The Edge has great laser tag, video games, and much, much more! Friends welcome with completed Timothy form
Youth at Karaoke Night - Youth Grades 7-12 & Family
Feburary 28th...Youth and their families join the congregation and friends you wanna bring - to our 2nd Annual Karaoke Night! Our youth rocked it at Timothy's Karaoke Night in 2025. Starts at 5:00pm. Lots of fun whether you are singing or supporting those sharing their talent.
Come to sing, or just come to enjoy to food, music and fellowship!
Youth Serve at Timtothy's Egg Hunt Outreach - Youth Grades 7-12 & Family
March 28 is the date of our 29th Annual Egg Hunt Outreach in Lindenwood Park. Youth have been an essential part of the volunteer crew every year! We will start with loading up our supplies at 8:00 at church and be at the park by 9:00am for set up. Many different roles needed at from 10:30am to 1:00pm. Join us as we serve our neighborhood and share our Easter joy!

Youth Joins Choir for Caroling in the Neighborhood - on December 21st Jr. & Sr. Youth and their families joined with the Timothy choir and other members to do Chirstimas Caroling in the neighborhood. After singing we got together for fellowship, food and games in the gym. It was a great time of serving our neighbors and having fun together!
Youth Christmas Market Fundraiser - on December 6th (Saturday) Jr. & Sr. Youth did a great job working the Christmas Market and raised over $1,000 in funds for youth events.
Youth Advent Meal Fundraiser - on December 3rd Jr. & Sr. Youth served our congregation by setting up, serving, and cleaning up the first Timothy Advent Meal for 2025. Please thank Anabella since for taking care of all the food and food preparation!
Friendsgiving Youth Special Event - on Nov. 23rd our Jr. & Sr. High Youth joined teens from Peace Lutheran and other area churches for a fun event of thankfulness. In addition to a great Thanksgving style meal, we worked on some service activities which benefitted a bunch of area ministries, enjoyed games, and singing and a youth-led time of worship. It was a great time with 125 teens being thankful, having fun and serving together.
Leaf Raking Service Event - November 15th our youth got together to serve our neighbors by raking and moving leaves for pickup. We cleared a ton of leaves and had a great time working together. Ended the serving with pizza. Thanks to all our hardworking participants! Thanks to LASM for setting up the homes for us to serve!
Youth FunDay - Hiking & Hang Around the Fire with Smores on October 19th Jr. & Sr. Youth will got together for a double feature. First was at Power Valley Conservation Nature Trail and we had a hiking good time. Later we went over to Steve and Lynnae Meyer's house were we hung around the fire at the for Smores, Singing, Devotion and Games. Thanks to Peter for the suggestion - it was a fun fall day outside together!
Youth Circuit Picnic - On September 28th we had a fun get together with teens from other South City Lutheran churches for food, fun games, and hanging out with friends old and new at Willmore Park. Parents and siblings had a great time too!
Youth Pool Party - On August 1st our Youth enjoyed our end of summer fun at the pool in Jefferson Barracks. We 12 enjoyed a Lazy River, Climbing Wall, Slide, and regular pool area. It was a really nice day with weather and friends and fun!
Youth Serving at VBS - June 23-27 we had a great crew of teens serving at VBS for our True North themed outreach to children and their families. Youth served in games, crafts, crews and so muich more! Thanks for your partnership in the Gospel!
Youth FunDay Bowling - May 25 we had a great time bowling at Shrewsbury Lanes with family. We bowled and laughted and sang some jukebox songs together!
Scrap - Shred - eRecycle Shine Event - April 26 our youth did an amazing job serving in our SHINE eRecycle - Scrap - Shred event. The District puts on the annual Shine event, and this was our fifth consecutive year of participating in this statewide servant event. Teens got the joy or serving as well as a Shine t-shirt.
Youth Easter Breakfast - SET UP & SERVICE - April 19 Easter Breakfast Set-Up and April 20 Easter Breakfast Serving was a great fundraiser for us, and we served our congregation, providing a much needed time of fellowship as families shared tables together on this special Resurrection Sunday. Special thanks to our Head Chef, Alisse Myers and her crew of helpers!
Youth Egg Hunt - SERVICE - Our April 12 Easter Egg Hunt was really fun - and the weather was great! Our youth helpers did an amazing job with the Egg Hunt Zone and Games in particular. Thanks also for the help with set-up, clean-up and more!
2025 District Youth Retreat - April 4-6 we had lots of fun but also endured some rain and cold weather at CrossPointe Retreat Center. The Retreat was a great time for building community, as many youth reflected on this during our sharing of highs and lows during the last night. We learned, played (lots of 9Square), made new friends and grew together in Christ.
Youth FunDay is Karaoke Night with Congregation - March 22nd we had a great time singing and/or supporting and cheering for others singing their karaoke hits! It was a really fun intergenerational event and created some fun memories!
March 5th we did a great job with the Youth Lenten Meal for Ash Wednesday. We also picked up March 12 and March 19 with some help from Anabella. Thanks to all who participated and served!
February 2nd we took our FunDay on the road to a nerf battle with Christ Memorial. It was great to have so many teens coming together for some Youth FunDay Nerf Fun along with good food and devotions.
January 12 we skated on a beautiful day in Forest Park for our Ice Skating Youth FunDay
December 18 we had some wonderful dishes and a good crowd for our Youth Advent Meal Fundraiser. We raised a record amount for an advent meal. Thanks to all who supported this fundraiser and service to the congregation.
December 21 we went caroling in the neighborhood with our fellow Timothy members/families.
December 18 we hosted the Youth Advent Fundraiser Meal and raised funds. Families did a great job of bringing variety of hot dishes. We recevied some postive comments and financial support from those who attended.
Christmas Market Fundraiser - Youth and families served to raise funds by selling cold beverages and pie slices at the Christmas Market. Youth did a great job of setting up, cleaning up and selling with a smile. Thanks to all the pie donation families! Thanks to Amanda Bello for doing all the shopping, and we again appreciate Thrivent Action Team finanaical support. We made around $400 in sales and donations.
Friendsgiving Youth Special Event - on Nov. 24th - Jr. & Sr. High Youth joined youth from Christ Memorial and Peace Lutheran for a fun event. In addition to a great Thanksgving style meal, we served shut-in, made baptism gift kits, thank you cards for SS teachers and assembled food pantry donations. We also had a lot of fun fellowship with games, skits and other fun activities. We also grew our faith in devotions and singing together.
Our October Funday was at Eckert's Millstadt Farm. It was some fun seasonal fun for Youth and their families, which included pig races, apple and pumpkins cannons, and tractor bike races.
Our September 8 Youth FunDay was lots of pizza, some basketball (or what is dodgeball?) board games and fun togehter!
F.A.I.T.H. Sunday Sept. 8th Youth helped Sunday School by leading a skit that reinforced our theme , helped lead songs, helped lead games and did a great job helping kids have a fun start to Fall Christian Education at Timothy.
We closed out the summer with a blast. A Laser Blast! August 11 we did some Laser Tag and games at The Edge!
We had a great week on our 2024 Servant Event with youth from Missouri, Kansas and Minnesota at Heit's Point Camp. Completed projects included: cabin decks painted, machine shed equipment sorted, chapel area cleaned, new fire pit/worship area installed, retaining walls and dam rebuilt, ponds mucked out, as well as 3 homes in Lincoln, MO repaired.
On Feb. 25 we had a meeting for Parents and Students about our Summer Trips in 2024 (Heit's Point Servant Event) and 2025 (Youth Gathering). Information from the meeting (slides and audio and handouts) are available from DCEMark.

The theme of our weekend is: BELIEVE.
This event is for both high school and junior high youth! Our main sessions will unite youth of all ages and adults to grow in faith through singing, learning, and experiences centered on Scripture.
We also recognize the differing needs of junior and senior high students, so we strive to provide tailored experiences for each group. Senior high youth can attend breakout sessions led by passionate leaders on relevant topics, while junior high students engage in activities such as service projects, scavenger hunts, and games that promote fellowship.

Our youth teamed up with 5 other groups to serve in work projects to improve Camp Concordia buidlings, but we also enjoyed all the fun activities at camp! We grew in our faith through BIble Studies, Devotions and singing around the camp fire! Thanks to all who participated and everyone who supports our youth!

Youth Lenten Meal
Thanks for your support!
So many wonderful dishes with a variety of flavors were enjoyed by our Lenten worshippers. There were many compliments from participants, and our youth worked hard setting-up, serving and cleaning and putting away. Thank you for your support! This was not only a fundraiser, but a way of serving our congregation and sharing what our youth ministry is all about.
On Saturday through Monday (Feb. 18-20) our youth had an amazing weekend growing in their faith, growing as a leader, learning practical leadership skills, and learning methods that will help them share their faith and care for their neighbor.
We had an amazing Youth Gathering in Houston, Texas

1,200 congregations registered
34 Districts and 44 states (including some international groups)
Our group of Aria, Christin, Constansa, Lana, Luca, James, Mathias, Amanda and Mark survived the Houston heat and our travel went well. Certainly the mass events were powerful to see around 20,000 youth singing hymns and songs of praise together. We grew closer as a group and made friends and connections with people from all over. Of course the games were one way that happened, from 9Square to volleyball to many and various games and challenges. The food part was most difficult, with so many others trying to get food one location prices and lines were crazy. Please ask one or more of the participants about their experience.
