It’s now been four days since the storm, and the needs in our community are growing every day. Just last night, another thunderstorm rolled through, causing even more damage for those without shelter. For many, the rain has become a constant reminder of the hardship they are facing. While we can’t help everyone, we are committed to doing everything we can to assist as many people as possible.

While the 24-25 school year is just winding down, we are beginning to staff the open positions for next school year.  If you would like more information on any of these positions or to submit a resume, please contact Principal Melissa Bergholt at 314-832-1244 x 111 or mbergholt@wordoflifeschool.net.

June 1 - Summer Sunday School Begins - Intergenerational Table Groups format in the gym

Pastor Gary Lampe died in Christ on May 19. He has been at the ICU at St. Mary’s for a number of days before his passing. Please keep his wife, Diane, in your prayers for comfort and hope in the One who is the Resurrection and the Life. Gary’s funeral service is set for Saturday, May 31 at 1 pm at St. Johns Lutheran Church. Pastors who attend are asked to please where red stoles for the service.

2. Storm Damage. LERT team in teh area. If you have any damage that needs to be attended to by this team, please let me know as soon as possible.

3. Concordia Seminary Food Bank. The seminary campus was badly damaged by the storm and has been without power.  The food bank can be contacted at: 314-505-7029 or foodbank@csl.edu

4. Ascension Day Worship. Ascension Lutheran at 6:30 pm with the choirs from Ascension and Timothy with a Ted Drewes reception following. Ascension Day is Thursday, May 29.
