Spiritual Friendship. Newsletter for the week of September 15th. WOL Strategic Planning - Survey

Timothy Lutheran Church
Newsletter for September 12, 2024

Spiritual Friendship

Generations before us have prized intimate friendships and cultivated the art of making and keeping friends. So, in today’s age where “friend” is a noun and a verb, you’d think we would all be expert friends! But many of us struggle with friendship. We want to reclaim this lost art by discovering what Jesus has to say about friends. Join us for the next five weeks as we take a look at what real friendship looks like, and discover the beauty and power of spiritual friendships that center in Jesus.

Week 1: Friendship with God

God has invited us to be his friends, but what does that actually mean? And how is being God’s friend actually a more mature relationship than being his servant? This sermon addresses these questions and challenges our common notions of friendship with God.
