The next Timothy's Voters' Meeting will be held after late service at 12:15 in the multipurpose room. You can also attend online: timothystl.org/voters.

The agenda includes the 2026 budget and elections. Jeremy Knapp and Greg Poppitz are at the end of their first terms on WOL School Board and are willing to run again. In regards to Church Council, Steve Meyer and Holly Feldman are stepping away after completing two successive 3-year terms. Marla Steenbock is finishing her first term and has agreed to run again.
This leaves us short two members of council. If you are interested in serving, please contact Pastor Dinger or Vice-Chair Margaret Rall prior to the meeting. This year is also the synodical convention, which includes nominations and elections for synodical officers. Please talk to Diane Saleska if you have recommendations or would like additional information.

What is the Church Council?
(summarized from Timothy’s Constitution)

“The purpose of the Church Council is to provide governance, accountability and oversight in meeting the goals of Timothy Lutheran Church as they are accomplished through the congregation’s ministries. The Church Council is to assume all decision-making responsibilities not specifically reserved for the Voters Assembly.”
The council consists of 9 members with staggered 3-year terms, so 3 elected each year, with no term limits.
The council annually elects, from within, a president, vice-president, and secretary. It also appoints a treasurer and financial secretary annually.

    The council is responsible for:
o   Meeting at least 6 times/year
o   Developing and monitoring the budget
o   Approving non-budgeted or emergency expenses
o   Hiring/dismissal of non-called staff
o   Writing/updating policies
o   Approving WOL Lutheran School budget
o   Strategic planning and changes in organizational structure
o   Preparing the voters assembly agenda
o   Communicating updates to the congregation
