Rejoicing with the Angels

Timothy Lutheran Church, St. Louis was the scene of rejoicing on Sunday, December 4, 2011 as Hao was baptized, confirmed and received into membership. Hao, a native of China, learned of the Bible and Christianity while a student in Shanghai and Hong Kong. After he arrived at Washington University in St. Louis, he studied the Bible with Pastor Bob Lange, a volunteer small group leader for ISM-St. Louis. As their studies progressed, Hao expressed his conviction that Jesus was his Savior.

Hao's Baptism

Because Hao was interested in worshipping at a multi-ethnic church, Pastor Lange directed him to Timothy Lutheran Church. Soon Hao signed up for a new member class offered by Pastor Wilson. God's Spirit continued His work and Hao's heart was filled with joy when arrangements were made for his baptism. This baptism was witnessed and celebrated by US and Chinese friends alike. We also gave thanks to God as Hao's friend confirmed her faith in Jesus on the same day. The angels rejoiced and we with them.
