A Great Day of Service

Thank you to the 64 volunteers who helped with Timothy's Send Me St. Louis projects! We worked with Lindenwood Area Senior Ministries to provide yard work and painting for some of our senior neighbors, and we built a fence for Gerald Brewah, one of Timothy's immigrant members.

People who served came from Timothy, Lord of Life Lutheran Church in Chesterfield, Holy Cross Lutheran Church in O'Fallon, Washington University, and the neighborhoods that we served.

From Katie Weintraub, director of Lindenwood Area Senior Ministries: "We got so much accomplished in a short amount of time and had a great time meeting new people in the process. Our senior homeowners were thrilled to have the help."

And from Gerald Brewah: "We are so thankful for the many hands, bigand small, men and women that came out to accomplish a very difficultand challenging task in two days. Thisweekend's gathering of Send MeSt. Louis in our neighborhood reminds me of what Jesus once told his disciples in Mathew 9: 37-38, "Then saith he unto his disciples, The harvest truly is plenteous, but the laborers are few; Prayye therefore the Lordof the harvest, that he will send forth laborers into his harvest." Ourfence project, though challenging, was made simple by the many hands from Timothythat the Lord sent. All this would not have been possible had it not been the workof Godalmighty who continues to bless us with the great church leadership from pastors Rail and Wilson."
